Hi everyone! I graduated with a BA in philosophy, gpa ~3.2, barely took any science classes at all during that time. I'm 31 and want to switch careers. I'm leaning towards study in Australia or NZ. I've gotten the impression from all the forums I've been on that they are considered to be very excellent programs. I also like smaller cities surrounded by nature. After emailing a bunch of schools, they've all pretty much told me the same thing: I need the equivalent of a BSc in some kind...

22 Years Old Basketball Player suffering from Iliopsoas pain (I believe). Pain is in the area between the groin and inner thigh. Only occurs on one side. Pain with external hip rotation. After visiting a sports medicine doctor, I was in PT for Iliopsoas with no positive effect. From my many hours of online research, it seems the most effective recommended solution is something along the lines of "palpate deeply along the Iliopsoas within the femoral triangle to assess for the distal...

I have been struggling with rehabilitation for a hamstring injury for quite a few months now. The problem initially occurred during a warm up for a game (football). I've been to see a physio quite a few times, and recently I have been given a set of strengthening exercises to do 3 times per week in order to allow me to get back to running and playing sports asap. I recently aggravated the injury slightly. My question is, should I persist with the strengthening activities anyway? Or is it...

Had a TKR a week ago and would appreciate some expert advice to help me with the recovery please. My knee has been troublesome for 10 years and its muscle condition has been neglected. Recently an impingement in the hip has also been diagnosed which has further affected the mobility and strength. Anyway, TKR was done and massive swelling. All is well though. My questions: 1. How many times a day should I use Ice and for how long? 2. I am unable to raise my straight leg when lying flat...

I agree with you a medium firm mattress for lower back pain is the best solution. A medium firm mattress is very helpful in improving our back. Doctors also advice to buy medium firm mattress for back pain.

Hi, I just wanted to query some difficulties my mother is having when she does a mountain walk. Iíve read about knee problems being common, but what has happened is her lower back starts aching and her legs start to wobble causing her to keep losing her balance and leaning backwards. We walked Pen Y Fan a couple of months ago and half way down hill I was having to hold onto her to stop her from falling backwards, as if she couldnít stay on her feet. No problems whatsoever uphill but with a...
