Re: Pain in shoulder region
hi
it can be due to capsular stretch ,if you are feeling the sharp pain deeper.
is there any other movmts causing pain
Re: Pain in shoulder region
I work shoulders yesterday, and it was quite painful on DB shoulder press. I also done lateral raises and front raises both exercises experienced no/little pain.
if im at down and push my hand on the floor to get up it hurts then to.
it seems that anything that envolves the pec stretching or contracting seem to give the sharp pain. It makes me wonder if it is the tendon of the pec where i laps over the bicep as iys not coming directly from the shoulder joint.
Re: Pain in shoulder region
also on both occasions of having this in each arm, I have just woke up with the pain.
Re: Pain in shoulder region
hi
it may be a pec strain.why don't you try
rotator cuff strengthening.usually gym going people strengthen more of their deltoid and pecs for good appearance.this is inducing muscle imbalance in the shoulder. rotator cuff plays the major role in dynamic stability.in painful shoulder, its activity is usually diminished
Re: Pain in shoulder region
As a fellow weight training and fitness enthusiast, I highly recommend staying away from any movements that may be aggravating the pain at this time.
The problem, is it identical to last year? If so there is probably scar material in the area, as well as micro-trauma to the pecs (only a possibility).
It is impossible to say, without examining your form, the reason for the onset of pain.
If I could see the form, biomechanics, and examine the onset of symptoms I would be able to say clearly it was a pec strain. However, the best advice I can give is to see a sports physio or a rehabilitation specialist that has a background in weight training etc.
