ACL Reconstruction
On 22nd Janurary i had my ACL, PLC and Miniscus repaired using a hamstring graft. I have been recovering really well but was walking up the stairs yesterday when i felt my hamstring go really tight. Then i when i took the next step i felt a really sharp pain go from my backside down my leg and to the back of my knee. Ever since it has been increddibly painfull, with a burning kind of feeling. The inside of my knee has also been throbbing alot since. I cant go and see my physio untill after the weekend and am just looking for some advice as to what it mite be and what i can do.

Re: ACL Reconstruction
You're likely to have strained your Hammy. Don't stress it's really common for people who have had ACL recons using a hamstrings graft. Just ice it and compress it and it should improve. Not sure what stage or rehab your up to but don't do any hamstring strengthening until you see your physio.
You'll be fine.

Re: ACL Reconstruction
Perhaps best to take it easy as mentioned. Post surgery the musculature and soft tissues will tighten up and until the physio has provided gentle exercise and stretching just try to go easy on it. Regards
