Should I stop the Physiotherapy?
Hi
I have car accident on 23 December I have been diagnoses post RTA with a fractured distal end of radius and they at the hospital the put plaster to 1 of February after that I have limited movement of my hand and my thump and pain increasing everyday’s then I went other hospital after seeing my X ray they said I have paramount damage to my wrist because they were should using K wire instead of just plaster.
The last thing I have been told “On future you may need surgery but now just Physiotherapy “
The main hospital that I have been treated in keep says "You do not need anything just Physiotherapy for five or six weeks and your hand be normal". Is this true?
I have included my X ray on 23 December and 9th February.

Now - Is it really that after Physiotherapy I will restore my fully hand movement ?
Is it real that I just need Physiotherapy ?
I can fell my Ulna moving aginst other bone and like click sound from my wrist is this OK? After Physiotherapy the pain increased and I feel heat from my wrist all time, Is this normal ?
Is my hand have deformity or malunion ?
Thanks
Re: Should I stop the Physiotherapy?
Looks to me like you radius and ulnar relative positions are deviated from the normal. This is often the case post fracture following a traumatic injury. Clicking it totally normal and can arise from many things.
You need to work closely with your physiotherapist and give them you trust. I would not open a can of worms asking for advice on this forum as we cannot feel and assess you wrist and therefore cannot offer much in the way of comment. I would not suggest that you stop physio treatment but that you give your physio all the feedback you'd be posting here and discuss those questions with them.
Re: Should I stop the Physiotherapy?
Thank you just I keep saying in my head "do not trust anyone"
I have ask some doctor witch said I have to do surgery before do the Physiotherapy
But the main hospital keep says just Physiotherapy
The problem now and why I cannot give them my full trust
The injury was on duty and the hospital that I treat on it belonged to my work and Physiotherapy doing with someone from the main hospital.
They make mistakes by not doing the K wire.
So all of them I cannot trust them back easily.
For you should I stop the Physiotherapy?
What is mean feeling heat from the Ulna in the point the Ulna meat the wrist?
Do you want me believed that Physiotherapy will be ok?
I feel like the pain increased every day after the Physiotherapy Is it normal?
Is it normal the pain not decreased even after hot pad and electric adjusted to 52 mA ?
Thank you
