Shoulder Problems and Numbness

		Hi all

I am a Rugby player and have played rugby for many years. However about 3 years ago I had a series of Shoulder inflammations and problems, and they have never been the same since. I have started putting on some more muscle around my shoulders and this has sured them up, but I still feel that there is something wrong. Sometimes after a big hit I have a numbness that shoots down my arm and back on the corresponding side. Is there anything anyone could recommend in terms of exercises to really reinforce my shoulder, and any diagnosis as to what is behind the numbness.

Many Thanks

		hi,
you must visit your doctor and get the MRI of Cervical Spine.
MRI of Cervical Spine.

MRI isn't a bad idea. however, contact athletes are known for getting "stingers" which is what this could be. such a problem may very well show nothing on an MRI. you could have a neck problem, a shoulder problem, or something else.

you can change your sleeping position for better treatment of shoulder. just free them and make them rest in free time. make your shoulder relax and not on striffness.

could be a nerve root compression or impingement or bursitis
