Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

Hi everybody!
I've a patient recently diagnosed with EDS-type I. For now he only experienced with shoulders instability and joints laxity, expecially on his UL.
Are there any physical therapy treatment which can interfere with connective tissue degeneration? The best treatment is only preventing the joints instability? Physical exercises can be counterproductive?
