Where are you from. Physiobase in association with Australian Volunteers international are about to launch a campaign into our first Developing Nation. We are about to establish the worlds first video linked physiotherapy service. This will enable a large teaching hospital to directly communicate with a clinic in India.
In so doing they will offer advice and case management to the local people, initially through 2 physio we are sending there for 3 months and then through the local healthcare workers.
Sounds exciting doesn't it :-)

Sounds really very good !
I am coordicnating the physiotherapy services in the Northern Province in South Africa.
We have already trained plus minus 50 Community Based Rehabilitation Workers, who are working in local communities ( the Northern Province is for 90 % rural ). These CRWs are being supervised by physiotherapists, occupational therapists or speechtherapists, sometimes by social workers.
The CBR approach is really for us the way the rehabilitation care should go here. I would like to hear to hear physiotherapists who are also working in rehabilitation in developing countries about their experiences. My experience is that we seem to be so far away with our work from physiotherapist working in private practice !
