leg folding
Hello,
In an accident ,my right leg patella dislocated and one fracture.After 5 days doctors done a surgery to my leg and i bedrested for 1 month with slab to my leg.Now after 2mnts and half iam going thro physiotherapy.Its 3 weeks now but my leg is just folding for 50 to 70 degrees only.One of our doctor said that u should fold ur leg now only in future u will not get it.This statement slashed my ming, i cant beleive that , frnds plz say to me whats the reason that i cant fold my leg 90 degrees.Plz frnds say to me its too pain when physio comes and does excercise to me.Iam crying dially but whats the result its nothing. plz help me frnds....

what do u mean?does your doc say that you wont be able to flex your knee in future?Is that what u mean? i think you should continue doing physio and inform your therapist if its too painful.your problem is possibly because of immobilization.
is there any other problem u have besides pain and limited movement?

Hi there,
could you perhaps describe more clearly what is going on.
The knee will take some time to gain greater range of motion. The ideal is to get the physiotherapist to take it to beyond range each visit, and do so in a manner that is aware of pre-cautions.
You should be able to gain 90 degrees, unless it has been suggested otherwise?
