re: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
One classic feature is the "Butterfly Rash", a rash on the face across the nose and cheeks that looks like a butterfly. I remember it well because like all good physio students, I thought I diagnosed myself with SLE during a lecture!
re: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
Is it safe to apply hot moist pack on elbow of patient with SLE + DVT? Although I'm sure that SLE is only contraindicated to UVR.
Re: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
I do not think that this is contraindicated providing the DVT is not in the arm and is in the leg. As for the results it would be a little more of the try and see what effect it has. Always follow the normal precautions and special tests before administering a heat related treatment intervention.
Re: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
I've tried it earlier and bright red non itchy rashes appeared after 15 minutes. I told it to the doctor and when she inspected it, the rash already subsided. She just said it is a normal response to heat. (>_<)
