What is the name of this medical machine/device?

A relative has broken her wrist. The cast has come off and it now quite painful.

The lady in question broke her other wrist around 20 years ago and after the cast was taken off ...the physio at the hospital she was attending used to request that she put her hands and wrist into a special machine. The pain relief from this machine was magical for her...and the wrist would be really flexible after each session.

The hospital she is attending currently are not offering this service.

Does anybody know the name of this machine?

Maybe if she was putting her hands into something it might have been a paraffin wax bath..
