Immigrating to Canada soon as physiotherapist, help please(urgent)
Dear Friends
I have applied for immigration to Canada as skilled worker in July 2007, now they have started to process my file. As part of the processing I need to show that I can work in Canada and I need to provide a job offer which will help me on gaining points and moving to Canada. I should submit this letter before Dec 17 2009, I have passed the written PCE and taking the clinical exam on Nov 22 , 2009. So I can get a provisional license and start to practice. The criteria for the job offer is:
- You do not intend to work in Canada before being issued a permanent resident visa, you do not hold a temporary work permit, and
- the employer has made an offer to employ you on an indeterminate basis once the permanent resident visa is issued; and
- your permanent job offer has received a positive labour market opinion from HRSDC. You cannot apply to HRSDC for a labour market opinion yourself. Your potential employer must apply for you.
- you meet the Canadian licensing or regulatory requirements for the job.
any help pleaseeeeeeeee
Thanks

I am an immigration consultant and a physiotherapist as well. You DO NOT need to have an offer of employment if your points is 67 above. Your application will be reviewed as it is BUT if you are lacking points (less than 67) then an offer employment can save your application. These days, physiotherapists are on the Occupations in Demand here in Canada.

Thanks for your reply, I think my main worries are regarding points as you have mentioned. English is not my 1st language , so if I want to satisfy the immigration requirements I have to get high score on IELTS, which might be difficult. That's why I am tring to claim points through a confirmed job offer which will give me around 15 points, so I feel comfortable with the 67 points. I do not know if the steps which I have taken through the ALLIANCE (Credential evalualtion which has involved proof of my English proficiency, passing the written exam) can help me or not?
Thanks and looking forward for your advice, my personal e-mail is [email protected]

There are other ways to gain points. Are you married? If yes, does your spouse has a college degree? can you study french, even basic french has points. since you passed the exams, you can start looking for an employer in canada and acquire an interim license. these things will help in your federal skilled worker application. Good luck!:)
