Help with British student looking to do elective placement in Australia

Hi,
Am looking to do an elective placement, particularly out in Australia, for 3 weeks sometime in from mid-June to mid-August 2010. I've sent out a few letters, but from reading around, seems it's generally quite a difficult request. Is there anyone who can help out, or knows anyone/anywhere that has opportunities for British students abroad?
