Help with a back and leg problem (Martial Arts injury)
I hurt my back about a month and a half ago wrestling at Jiu Jitsu. I didn't get enough time to stretch before training and the first position I found myself in was where I was on my back with my legs going back up towards my head.
After class my back was really sore. I continued to train for the next two weeks or so because it wasn't that bad, but eventually I stopped because it got worse.
Now, it hurts my back not as much, but I can feel a sort of pain down my right leg. Like when I sit at the computer for half an hour or so I'll start to feel a tingling painful sensation down my right leg.
Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be? I've pulled muscles before, but they've never lasted this long or felt like this.
Not sure if its relevant, but I'm also really flexible. Normally the situation that done it wouldn't bother me, but like I said, I didn't get to stretch at all before it.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Re: Help with a back and leg problem (Martial Arts injury)
Might have strained the nerve structures running down the spine OR even irritated a disc as a level in the lower part of the spine. Best to have a physio so an assessment for you. They can advise a self help treatment regimen from there so it need not be an expensive exercise.

I saw a physio today. He said the worst of the injury (Lower back) has passed and is now healing.
He showed me some back exercises to do. He couldn't really get the pain to initiate when I was there though. He says it is to do with the nerves.
