Re: Physiotherapy jobs in UK
Hi Karl. Unfortunately the US degree doesn't provide enough training to get registered in the UK. You could however take a masters in the UK and this could lead to recognition with the HPC. You post mentions Europe though and so there are different rules over there, and you might have better luck in Germany. There are a number of recruiters that advertise on PhysioBob's Jobs - Physiotherapy Job & Course vacancies, Physio Recruitment & Courses for physiotherapists for military physio jobs in Germany (with English speaking bases). As the legal structure in the military is different this might also be an avenue.
Best of luck
Re: Physiotherapy jobs in UK
Thanks for the feedback. My wife and I do have Master's degrees, so for us, getting another Master's is not palatable. Do you happen to know if there are any fellowships available, in which we could earn a FAAOMPT, or something equivalent?
Do you know if there is a way to do a fellowship towards earning a new designation? In the US, we have a manual therapy known as FAOOMPT. Is there an equivalent designation in the UK?
Re: Physiotherapy jobs in UK
I think there is something which is similar to the FAOOMPT degree...I have to just ask with my friend about the exact one.. Due to the fact he is a physio reseacher..
Re: Physiotherapy jobs in UK
great thanks, let me know.
