4th metatarsal fracture stiffness why?

Hello hope someone can help me.
I fractured my 4th metatarsal 6 weeks ago.
My concern is that I have stiffness around my medial ankle - why is this?

Most likely it is the result of protection to the metatarsals as a group - i.e. so you don't pronate to much. How did you fracture? Maybe you injured the ankle joint as well?

Get someone to mobilize it for you to help it on its way.

First,I worder if you were x-rayed to see the fracture & to discard more serious pathology around the medial ankle.
Secondly, how was the injurius mechanism? was it a fall? how was the foot placed when injured? Describe more please.
