MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration
Hello,
I was wondering if any of you could assist me in the MSc physio course. I am looking at starting the course in Sept this year, but I have only found one university (Kings College) which runs Sept - Sept. All others begin in January 2011. I have missed the deadline for applications at Kings by four days so was therefore wondering if anyone knew of courses (MSc not BSc) starting in Sept this year.
I have looked at the course list on CSP website but cannot find any Sept starts.
A little about me, I have just completed my MSc in Sports Therapy last year but have realised it was a complete waste of time as you cant get a job. I also have my degree in Sports and Exercise Science, which again is not much use to anyone when looking for a job.
Many thanks for your help.
Re: MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration
As far as I know Kings and QMU (Queen Margaret) in Edinburgh are the only 2 that start in sept. I think the deadline for QMU is end of January as well (not 100% on that but I think it is). Everywhere else that I know of are January starts.
all the best

Re: MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration
Hey,
I started this course last year on September 28th, so you may be ok, but I'd email the uni to check. Good luck :-)
Re: MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration
Hi thank you for your reply, hows your course going? what is your background? also if the course started around 28th would missing the first week be a big problem is it just an intro week?
Thank you
Kev
Re: MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration
Hey,
Well we were given work to do on about day 2 I think!! It didn't go towards final marks or anything though. The best thing would be to email the uni and see what they think. They're pretty helpful. Are you away for a couple of weeks then over your wedding?
The course is good, the only real word for it is intense! My background is psychology which made it hard initially. Lots of the other students did sports related degrees so had some knowledge already. But I'm getting there! I'm on my 3rd placement now and really enjoying it :-) Just be prepared for a lot of hard work, and know that it does get easier!! Its worth all the work anyway. x
