Hi,
Does anybody know if you have physiotherapy registration in New Zealand, how long you have to be working in New Zealand before you can apply for registration in Australia via the Trans Mutual Agreement?
Thanking You.

Hi,
am just answering, since no-one else does..... :-)
The TTMA gives a person with registration and fitness to practice in one country (e.g. NZ) the opportunity to apply for registration in the other country (e.g. Australia) without submitting any other evidence.
So, I understand that you do not need to have ever worked in NZ, but must hold a NZ Annual Practicing Certificate. But I am not 100% sure about this.
There is generally no "Australian" registration as such. Every Australian state has got their own registration board.
May I recommend for you to contact the board of the state you would like to work in or check out their registration requirements (which you will find on their websites).
Hope this helps,
Fyzzio
Hi Fyzzio,
Thanks for your reply. I will ring the individual state boards to see if they require working experience in NZ prior to registration. I am aware jobs in NZ are becoming more difficult to obtain so hence I'm considering going straight to Australia if this is possible at all.
Thanking You :)
