hello
what is the differance betweentennis elbow & lateral
epicondilitis
Tennis elbow is a general term used to describe pain around the lateral epicondyle, usually due to inflamed tendons of the wrist extensor muscles. This pain is often caused by a repetetive action of the forearm. Lateral epicondilitits is very similar in terms of signs and symptoms..... overall I don't think there is much difference.
yep and the treatment is not about the lateral epicondlye. It is about why are the extensors overactive? usually a small grip size on a racket, a lack of proximal control at the shoulder, poor string tension, poor thoracic rotation etc. Thus a full biomechanical analysis of the technique is impt to derive the best pro-active treatment regimen.
