Broken Hip recovery

Hi, I recently broke my hip and had a pin placed in it:http://z.about.com/d/orthopedics/1/G/4/2/hiporif.jpg The treatment was on the side of my right leg. I think that because they had to cut through all the muscles, it has left my leg unable to mobilise normally and I have to wait for the muscles to repair.

I've been prescribed some basic physio. However, I'm a bit worried about the lack of mobility in the limbs. A couple of days ago, I was completely unable to move the leg horizontally on a flat surface (this has since improved). Presently, when stretched out in front of me, I am unable to raise the leg at all.

I´m not a PT but methinks we have similar stories in terms of us both having broken our hip.
