knee stiffness post long leg cast
Hi! I got into a motorcycle accident last Jan 16, 2010 as a passenger and incurred a complete comminuted fracture of the tibia. I just got off a long cast after 2mos on it due to a broken right tibia bone. I am currently on a short fiberglass cast. My OS didn't put in an IM pin because there was an infection on the wound from the accident. I am having a hard time exercising my knee to return to its normal range of motion due to stiffness, swelling and pain (plus numbness of the wound closure). i don't know how and what exercises to perform to relieve the stiffness of my knee. Help me please... Thank you!!!

Let us at first hope fast full recovery for you....
In general I can advice you to visit a proper ortho physician along with a proper Physiotherapist.....As diagnosis and hence treatment via internent may not working out !!
