ACl Prehab and Surgery help

Hi,

My Info: Male, 30 Yrs old, Right Knee diagnosed with complete ACL tear, active in sports.

I suffered an ACL injury while playing soccer (Contact). I was at the Drs the very next day because of swelling and lack of ROM. He immediately diagnosed me with a complete ACL tear with manual tests and ordered for an MRI. Well after a month after my injury I got news that my ACL is completely torn with PCL and MCL intact.

My main concern is how long can I wait before I get a reconstruction surgery. The reason I ask is because just after 3-4 days I got all my motion back and now after constant therapy sessions and exercise I got all my mobility back except for my injured right knee doesnt flex all the way back to my thigh. I dont feel any pain or swelling but I did not go back to active sports (Golf or Cricket etc). I dont feel restricted or as if the knee is going to give out.

Can someone tell me if its a good idea to delay my surgery until I feel symptoms of my knee giving out or should I go ahead and schedule my surgery to avoid any further damage? Also please let me know how long can I wait before I go for surgery (currently its been 45 days since my injury).

Can I go back to playing sports that dont require cutting (like basketball and soccer) with a brace on OR am I risking more complications.

1. ACL tear with detachment of the fibers from its femoral attachment
2. Edena of posterolaterla capsule
3. Bone Marrow edema in the anterior femoral condytles and the posterior tibial plateau, consistent with history of ACL tear.
4. The articular cartilage of the patella is relatively well preserved
