Any suggestions for a post partum woman who developed hip rotator pain/limitations 6 weeks after a fall onto her sacrum-She presents with generalized laxity. She used to have low back pain. Now just lateral-post hip pain.
Basically, we all know that there is still quite an amount of relaxin hormone within the body even during the post partum period leading to existing generalised laxity of the joints around the lumbosacral region.SIJ dysfunction may well be diagnosed at this point of time since such condition gives rise to diffuse symptoms around the low back, buttock and as well as the lateral aspect of the hip. Nonetheless, the main stay of conservative treatment may well include strengthening of the 3 myofascial slings which crosses the lumbosacral region.
