Hello colleagues,
could anybody help me finding an assessment chart, tool, link for cardiovascular assessment for PTs. I have done some searching, but found only a little information (just checking BP and HR), also during my PT training I didnīt get much info on this topic.
Any suggestions will help me a lot

the method is given in details in this book.
no worries i am giving oyu short clue-
1:PERSONAL ASSESMENT
name,address,social status,home lay-out( to know about stairs & other furniture to be used during physio treatment),family history( for inheritency),occupational history,smoking habbits,drug addiction etc
2:SPECIFIC ASSESMENT
ask them about breathing problems like dyspnoea,asthma,check sputum( colour,cosistency,blood cells ),cough,pain,weight
3:CHEST ASSESMENT
ask for any congenital or acquired chest deformity,check skeletal mobility,respi pattern,audible noises,anaemia,cynosis,clubbing of fingers etc
4:SPECIFIC TESTS
12 minute walking test,
shuttle walking test,
exercises tolerance tese.( i have sent you the same message through pm so sorry for that.)

Well, there are spcifice points should be keep in mind during dealing with cardiovascular patinets first if they are in patinet or outpatinet!!
Then to be able to make differential diagnosis eg angina stable or unstable,chest pain[orthpedic or cardic] pain!!,....
....back to first reply:
if IV lines of heparin PPT ie bleeding time[30-50]seconds contraindication to conduct wit physiotherapy,
international bleeding rate [1-2] normal,[3-4],up to 7 we cannt treat above that!!!
ppt ie partial thrompopalstine time for IV line no phyisio aabove 60
if Prothopmbin orally no phsioy above 30
try to make your exs funcitonal for patinet need Oxygen at rest in particular quadricpes set and try to avoid supine ,let your patinet in siting

Hi Disha, not yet as I am currently working on musculoskeletal assessment (nearly finished) then I will move on cv assessment. Regarding the ms assessment I have noted that in some countries they use a term red and yellow flags - we don't use that in Czech Rep. Does that mean serious spinal pathology (red) and chronicity (yellow)? Thanks.Quote:

red flags means d absolute contraindications
and yellow flags means relative containdications especially they refer to the psychological problems of d patients..
