Specialties in Physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. Physiotherapy utilizes an individual's history and physical examination to arrive at a diagnosis and establish a management plan, and when necessary, incorporate the results of laboratory and imaging studies. Physiotherapy has many specialties including cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedic and pediatrics.

I think every physiotherapist may not be perfect in all these specialties and they should present themselves as a specialist.

Do any physiotherapist or physiotherapy seeker can discuss more about this.

Please suggest more accurate and useful ideas behind the specialties

According to my obsrevation is that Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement. It uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well being.

it uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking account of variations in health status
it is science-based, committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery
the exercise of clinical judgment and informed interpretation is at its core.
