... being the participant in an 'Aromatherapy class', you should really know those answers ...
How would the client feel? Well, I would say that depends on the oils you have used.... and go from there.

i guess i would be late to help you but for anyother who is looking for some answers. I know some side effects of this therapy as one of my friend had it few years earlier.
It was headache, nausea and rash.. so be aware of that before going for it.
