Ankle Injury (Can't Run)

I have a sore ankle.
It happened 7 weeks ago now. While i was warming up for soccer, I felt a click in my ankle but no pain. I played the whole 90minutes feeling fine.
That night I began to feel some pain and the the next morning i couldn't walk. It was fine by the morning after that but from then I couldn't and still can't run and it hurts to impact my ankle in any way... bending my foot upwards (my toes towards my knee) hurts.
I am only 22 and there was no swelling but I really want to be able to play again as soon as possible.
What could be the problem?

As much as I love to give pseudodiagnosis for injuries, without a LOT more information I can not accurately even begin to diagnose your injury :( Sorry. It will likely be more time efficient to get this checked out by your local therapist. Keep us in the loop with what he diagnoses and we may be able to help give advice on treatment plans / exercises / return to sport

If you are stuck in the middle of no where and simply can not get to a physical therapist, let us know and I will try and give you a list of questions to answer to help reach some form of diagnosis or advice.
