you have not provided enough information that since how long you were suffering from bursistis and how much time it took to recover, during that period have you taken bed rest or continuing your daily activities...
Inspite of all, i would suggest do slight stretching exercise of all hip and back muscles (Iliopsoas, hamstring, quadriceps, glutii, abductors, adducdors, erector spinae, abdominals etc) but preferably in guidance of expert along with do light strenghtening exercise too ... not go for massage...

Usually when you change the way you walk from a limp or cast or even different heeled shoes, you use different muscles which you may not have used before. This can result in soreness in your leg areas or tightness. After a couple weeks, you should be OK.

I agree that altered gait affects the whole biomechanics of the body but to alleviate this problem, there's need to do some exercise depending on what all muscles, tissue get affected...
