particulars about doctrate in physiotherapy in uk

i am a physiotherapist(B.P.T) having 11 yrs of experience.at present iam working in malaysia.my aim is to do phd .
i am having hpc for uk.i started applying for jobs in uk.but my friends suggested that it is easy to enter as a student rather thanwitha job. nou iam quite confused.i thought of trying for the both. i would like to do doctrate in physiotherapy in uk.can any one know this course in uk.and which university to select for studies.
