Dislocated patella, bruised bone and medial patellofemoral ligament snapped off bone

Hello everyone. I'm a gymnast and 4 days ago i was coming down from a tumble and i landed awkwardly. This meant that i dislocated my patella, which bruised another bone (not sure which), and tore/snapped the medial patellofemoral ligament off the bone.

My specialist told me that at this stage surgery isn't required (because i'm having a lot of time off sport), and i am yet to start physio.

I'm just wondering how long it is expected i will need to recover?
Is it appropriate for me to be walking 4 days after doing it?
Is this injury serious?
Will i be normal again?
