Research has shown that most low back injuries are not the result of poor lifting techniques and in fact work is of little consequence in the equation. You may care to look at the work by Gordon Waddell and Kim Burton (2000) on work related low back pain. It is the most comprehensive literature review of ramdom trials etc to date..regards richard
