Army Physiotherapy

Hey physios,

I'm a second year student and have recently read and found out a little more about being a Physiotherapist Officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), a prospect which I find extremely attractive. I went to a presentation earlier on this evening and was able to speak to a number of people about the job and the routes into it, and it seems extremely exhilerating.

From a physiotherapy perspective however, I was wondering if anybody could shed any light on what life is like as a Physio Officer, and if anybody has any experience or knowledge about the role?

Obviously it is still early in my career, but it's an option. I'd just like to know how it compares to working in the NHS or privately, the pros/cons of the job, the competitiveness etc etc.

There is also a local Officer Training Corps for my university. Would this be valuable to do at this stage if I decided that the Army was the route to take?
