seeing private patients in the community/at home
Hi there,
I just wanted your opinions really.....
I have been qualified a year and a half and i currently work on the bank and locuming.
I was thinking of advertsing as a private physio one day a week to start with just to see how it goes.
I was thinking i could do this within my local community so i go to the patient or they could come to me in my own home.
I know i have'nt been qualified long at all. I tend to work very hands on with lots of massage and trigger point work. I also have a few courses lined up this year so i can keep my MSK core skills and CPD up to date. I am CSP and HSP registered.
I am only thinking of local work around my area mainly through word of mouth so most likely people i will know.
Any advice/thoughts would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
sarah
Re: seeing private patients in the community/at home
Just saw your post and was wondering if you'd got anywhere with your idea as I'm thinking about the same thing at the moment. I've been qualified for 7 years and working for the same NHS trust for that time. Would really like to get into doing some private work. Have 4 years community experience but don't really know how to go about doing that privately. Anyway be interested to know if you've found much out. Thanks!
