a while back i e-mailed to find more information on the treatment of hiperhydrosis(sweaty palms) my research group and i, (currently in our final year of study) found in our research project that the mobilisation of the T2-costo-vertebral joint in a sympathetic slump position, decreases the sweat production caused by hyperhidrosis (the idiopatghic tipe, not medical related sweating).... just thought i would share our success with you
That's great! It's a very debilitating disease. Having to get Botox injections can be uncomfortable and is not permanent.
Interesting. Were you treating in symptom (neural) tension positions; and what dosage parameters did you use did you use for the mobilisation? Also what sympathetic NS outcome measures did you use e.g. skin temp; skin flux etc; BP; HR etc? Was this an undergrad or post grad study? Sorry for all the questions but I found your post interesting.
