Unknown Knee issue

Hello bit of advice required. I was playing football I went to save a ball raised my leg ahead of me as i went to put in on the floor my knee twisted either side and then I landed in a heap.

At first it really hurt, eventually i got to my feet and although I was a bit wary I was ok. I carried on training/jogging. After practice I iced my knee and have done a few times since. Few days on its seems fine but on a few occasions since I have had the sensation of my knee giving way. After which it feels a bit tender.

I dont feel i've done anything major, no swelling, no pain. But I've not had that give way feeling before. So is there anything likely to be going on? I don't have any other symptom. I intend on having a week or so off practice but any advice would be much appreciated.
