MBT trainers for pronating feet? Any good?
Hi
I have posted previous threads about my problems and after seeing a physio this morning she potentially thinks all my problems are being caused by by ankles which are very unstable and causes my foot to overpronate. She has said the MBT trainers are excellent, but then when I have googled them it says that they aren't good for you if you have pronating feet? Can you wear them with orthotics? Any views? I don't want to spend hundreds on a pair of shoes that might make me worse!

Everyone will have different opinions. I am in the 'I don't like MBT's at all' camp. But then they are useful for people with perhaps a fused ankle joint. How about some orthotics in a straight shoe as a first thought. One would have to look at the reasons for your over pronation to see if an MBT or other rocker type shoe would make it better or worse.
