Re: Torn Hamstring Troubles
Hello BridgeRugby,
May I ask you why did you do a X-Ray for this problem?
The weeks after the injury are crucial for a good outcome and exercises and stretching should be well planned. The fact you don't feel 100% could be due for different reasons which may have nothing to do locally with your strained hamstring. (Like poor posture, poor running techniques, pelvic imbalances and so on). To be honest after 9 months you should be back to your normal sport activity without having too many hassles. Possibly your tear didn't heal well and the scar tissue that has formed as response to injury hasn't been addressed properly. But those are all guess. An evaluation done by a colleague and maybe a ultrasound exam could tell you more about your issue.
all the best
Re: Torn Hamstring Troubles
When you stretch, what do you do exactly and how long do you hold a stretch for?
You say you cannot spirnt, does the pain stop you? (sorry I know this sounds like an odd question)
Is there any muscle wasting? like when you look in the mirror do both legs look the same at the back?
You also mentioned what the physio said to do but have you been doing them, if so how often?
This may sound like an interrogation but I'm just trying to gather info so that I can help !!!! :)
