Walking frame suitable for client with Parkinsonism?

Hi, I work in a home-based rehabilitation team and have just met a client with Parkinson's Disease. She shows typical symptoms of PD with akinesia and is now using a quadripod for indoor ambulation. She shows high risk of fall especially during initiation of gait because of the shuffling. There are quite a lot of obstacle in her house.
I'm just considering whether a walking frame would provide a wider base of support, but my colleague argues that a walking frame further prevents reciprocal movement. What do u think??

I'm not sure wht you mean by a 'quadripod'..

However, my first action would be to clear the obstacles and loose rugs etc to reduce falls risk. If she resists involve the family to encourage her.

Secondly a wheeled walker doesn't inhibit reciprocal movement as much as a pick up frame.
