RSI and the kinetic chain

Hi to all the physios out in cyber world,

I am interested in the role of the kinetic chain and RSI (tenosynotivis, tendonitis, TOS etc). I've been doing some reading on the kinetic chain and shoulder rehabilitation and have been of the firm view that it is important to strengthen the core and lower back while also working on isolated movements to get stability back in my shoulder joint. It's been very effective and I have not had many issues with my shoulder for awhile.

I have tenosynovisitis in my left wrist which I'm not sure how it developed. I have a tight thoracic, some mild scapular dumping along and have had a bad left hip since I was a kid. My sports doctor has recommended working on scap stabiliser work along with improving ROM within my thoracic. It's not quite clear how this will improve my wrist issues so I'm going to give it a stab and I'd be grateful if you can shed some light on this.

If my understanding of the kinetic chain is correct, you need functioning joints and muscles so if I have a bad hip, tight thoracic and mild scap dumping then I need restore function which would then in effect relieve the stress on the forearm muscles? Is that right?
