Working holiday visa - ? panel doctor & xray needed

Hi,

I have just aquired my working holiday visa for australia where I plan to work in private practice when I'm over there in January. I have been told I do not need a medical or xray from a panel doctor to work as a physio but a friend who went a couple of years ago down the same route had to do it. Has anyway had this experience recently and could you advise me on what your requirements were? I dont want to arrive there without it and then be refused work! Im travelling around south east asia for 3 months prior to entering australia but the department of immigration seemed to think because i've applied for my visa before entering any of those countries it wont affect whether i need any medical examinations.
