Working in France

Hey,

I know there are a few french physio's on here, would someone mind passing on any details regarding accreditation for a UK qualified physio? Contact websites etc?

Has anyone personally moved to France from an english speaking country? How did you manage the language difficulties etc?

Is it totally unrealistic to do the job when french is not your first language? My french is Ok but if I moved to france I would certainly have to improve before going!

I know that working in France maybe a little bit more difficult compared to working either UK or USA. One US trained physio I met there before moved to France to settle with her new family, she speaks quite good French. She has been in France for 2 years but she was still not allowed to practice PT in the hospital or even private practive because she lacks some criteria / qualifications required to be given permission/license to practice.

I'm doing my elective in France this summer and would like to prepare by learning French technical terms (especially in respiratory).

Does anyone know a good source - book/website/anything I can use to do this?
