Re: Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
Hello guys! As Morrisio I have a patient, woman 72 years old, affected by Myasthenia Gravis from two years. She is able to do all Activity Daily Living, is indipendent to walk on flat surfaces and taking the stairs. I've had her under treatment for 1 week. I want to train her aerobically, but I don't know if the training aerobic can create problems to the heart muscle, because of disease. I've reading the book of Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America and articles on PubMed, but I found out nothing on aerobic and heart muscle. Does anyone know where to find something about?
Thanks!, Alex
Re: Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
I have no experience with Myasthenia Gravis patient but i came across an article, that said the following exercises could be performed. Neck exercise might include variations of the shoulder shrug using hand weights. You could also perform the dumbbell shrug by standing and placing the feet shoulder-width apart with knees slightly bent. Then carry weights in each hand With arms hanging at sides, move the shoulders upward. Hold the shrug for one count and repeat the exercise eight to 12 times.
Re: Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
Thanks! I will follow the exercises.
Very kind
