Try to learn the subject from your teachers there. Manual muscle testing is an essential skill developed in professional training of physiotherapy teaching. Teachniques are best illustrated in Daniels and Worthingum's manual muscles testing. Which areas of maual muscles testing are lacking, tell about that.
Hey, i'm a student currently learning physio. Thru ur experiences as physiotherapist, i wanna know if there's an effective way to distinguish between grade 4 and 5 of manual muscle testing because the resistance applied may very for different therapist, which leads to unrealibility of the test.
In doing the assessment of grade 4 and 5, please remember that in case of grade 4 some resistance should be applied at the end of the range. While in case of grade 5 full resistance should be applied at the end of the range. Resistance should not be applied throughout the range of motion as it will lead to a faulty assessment.
