Public liability insurance
Hi everyone
im just in the process of renting a room in a sports centre to practice Physio. I'm aware I have my professional liability insurance through the CSP but the centre are asking me to ensure I have public liability cover aswell.
does anyone have any experience of this and the type of PL cover I would need? I presume to cover slips, falls, signs dropping on people's heads!
Where do I go for this type of insurance? The CSP weren't very helpful
thanks in advance
Re: Public liability insurance
Normally a PI insurance product is in fact a combined PI/PL and products liability insurance. This is what Physiosure offer in Australia. You should check if the CSP's policy is not also the same as it well could be.
Re: Public liability insurance
In Canada, we do have to get additional public liability insurance. So it is likely different in each country.
Post the answer when you find out, and we'll all be the wiser!
Re: Public liability insurance
Hi thanks for your replies.
i spoke to LSC greybrook who provide the insurance for physios in uk through CSP and it seems we have 10 million PUblic liability insurance as well as the professional indemnity insurance. They emailed me the certificate for the PL insurance and have arranged for the Professional indemnity insurance cert to be emailed across too so all hopefully this will help answer anyone who has the same query
