i have my masters in physiotherapy, ielts 7. i thought about applying for permanent residence but due to some legal issues with my husband i am advised not to file now. i am thinking other alternatives so that i wont waste my time. what about if i apply for credentialing with alliance, get a visiting visa to canada, come there and clear the exam. is it an easy procedure? will i get a work permit when i pass the exam. labor market opinion? lot ofqueries! if anyone can help me, please reply

Hi, you can still apply to the Alliance without any PR. Now it's fast. It only takes 3-4 months but you have to give the exam within 2years of completing the credential.If you still HV query mail me.

I agree with the previous advice. The alliance determines if you can write the exam. They do not care what your work or residency status is. They only care if you are qualified to write the exam. You may come here on a "vacation" weekend and write the exam, yes, many do. If you pass you may get offered a job if your english is good and you are good at skype interviews. Otherwise, you need to meet some employers face to face. However, there is a way around the job issue, if you are able to show you have enough savings to move to Canada and support yourself while you find a job. This means showing the Canadian gov that you have $13,000. YOu may go to the Gov of Canada website for skilled workers and do their online calculation, but if you have experience, and you have a professional degree, speak good English, you should qualify. I inquired these things with a consultant. My plan will be to

4. Within six months i need to pass the practical (How long will visiting visa allow me to stay? Is there any chance to find an employer with theory alone, will canada goverment give me a work permit with this, Please state the risks involved .........)
5. Get an employer (I heard that employers prefer people with PR, Please state the risks involved .........)
6. Labor market opinion (I heard that it is very very difficult to get a labor market opinion as there are already many immigrants inside canada Please state the risks involved .........)

this is a very risky option, but no other constructive way to be in canada. Please help with your feedbacks

Here in Canada, new immigrants are strongly advised not to hire a consultant. The government of Canada does not believe you need one.

Your plan:
1. the only risk is that you may have a few courses to redo. But this is not the end of the world, just take them and you will succeed.
2. visiting visa for 3 days to write the exam: zero risk. None. This is Canada, we do not deny visiting visas unless you are a known terrorist.
3. It is impossible to know if you are going to pass. You will fail if you don't study the right materials
4. Don't try to stay 6months to do both exams. YOur profile says you are from Texas. We have direct flights to Texas. Fly home and work for the time after the first exam.
Yes, people with good english can easily find a job with written exam alone where I live in Alberta. I cannot guess the risks, as I don't know how well you speak.
Ironically, the Canadian government temporary skilled worker visa doesn't check if you passed the exam. So don't worry about that. You can easily go now to the skilled
worker visa application page of the Canadian website and check what your chances are of getting that visa. Work out the risk yourself. You know the answers to the
questions best.
5. As long as you are good at your job, employers will keep you if you are working in a high needs area, even while you only have a temporary visa. They do like to think you
are PLANNING to get a permanent residency.
6. To get an employer to give you an LMO you have to deal with certain employers. So if you are working with them (contact me for some names) you will get an LMO. However,
you don't need an LMO if you come on a skilled worker permit for two years, then apply based on those two years.

No, this is not a risky option. This is an option that may require alot of work and effort. There is a difference. Risk means random chance, out of your control. This is not out of
your control. If you work on good English, study harnd and work where you are needed you will succeed - no chance involved.

I have decided almost 90 percentage to proceed with this plan, as i have no other option now. Do you know anyone who did a thing like this? I am not from Texas, i am in India, but i have a visiting visa to US. Should i clear the practicals to get the work permit, i am just worried about that part as I have no experience of the treatment procedures and assessments there in Canada.
