hi can u tell me about various balance exercises.
you have to be specific about the diagnosis, area involved(cerebellar or basal ganglion lesion) and which age group?normal population or sports personnals.anyways here are some balance exercises.standing with eyes open and closed on one leg, standing on baps, sitting on a gym ball.agility exercises.
...wobbly tools, shapes, walking on soft surfaces, in standing position you try to push a person from different directions with different forces etc etc let your imagination work...:)
thanks

theses are some excercises:
standing without support for 30 seconds
raising from sitting to standing with arms folded
standing with looking to ceail above head level, then look behing shoulder level
walking first between parllel bar, then with one hand support on the bar then with no hand support, then make the excercise differecult by adding some obstricals on the floor of the bar.
these are examples of balance excercises
if you want more ( use Berg Balance Scale) use the test as excercise
also you can use the gem ball to improve balance
it is best to specify in which positions the patient can maintain balance first. eg. sitting, kneeling, half-kneeling, standing. and proceed in whichever position the patient needs progress. combing the above mentioned balance exercises with more functional activities as this will encourage more independence.
