Information on working in Shanghai, China

Hi

I am a physiotherapist/sports massage therapist from the UK with a keen interest in out-patients and sports injuries. I am relocating with my husband to Shanghai, China because of his Job.

I am looking for any information on working in Shanghai as a physiotherapist, how to find jobs etc.

Dear Physio48,

I saw your post in the physioforum from january 2007. Were you able to find a job in shanghai? how is it like to work in such a different environment?

I am a thrid year physiotherapist student from germany. I will be in Shanghai from April until May. And it would be very great if I could gain some working experience or could find a school where I can study some chinese methods.

Do you have some hints for me, I would appreciate it very much!!!

Hey guys, I am a qualified Physio in South Africa and looking for a job in China. I was wondering if there are any bodies that I need to register with in China to make me elligable to work there as a Physiotherapist.

I am the Company Manager on a dance/movement show in Shanghai (opening next month and running for at least one year). We are in need of a physiotherapist with knowledge of dance and/or sports type injury. I notice that a few people posted comments about working in Shanghai although the posts are quite old ... did anyone get as far as making it over here?!

I am a Physiotherapist from Portugal with experience in 10 years in the Health System in Portugal.
I am living in Guangzhou with my husband but we are now moving to Shanghai.

I will be looking for an opportunity to practice my professional field.

Does anyone know about any opportunity out there?

I am a current physiotherapy student doing the Bachelors degree in the UK however I aspire to complete my masters and find work in China. Unfortunately whilst researching my options I have not found many. I was wondering if there are career paths and developments for a physio in China and if so which city would I find the most.
