Supraspinatus tear
A male aged 40 presented with a full thickness tear of supraspinatus incurred 6 weeks earlier. There is separation of the tendon ends by 3-4mm. Orthopaedic advice has been sought, but appointment with the specialist will not be for another 6 weeks.
What is the best clinical management of this case? We are aware that we need to maintain optimum function, strength and mobility, but do not wish to retract the tendon further.
Suggestions please.

Re: Supraspinatus tear
hello dear,
you didn,t clearify the diagnosis, i mean was that lady daignosed already buy the doctor, and how long she was suffering with the problem.
As muscle tear concerns, you should treat it like normal muscle rupture. Allow the healing time and you can accelerate it by using the eletrotherapy, and massage near areas of the rupture. Do not strat the movement untill heamatoma will be absorbed.
Please explain the patient condtion than i,ll help you futher.
cheers
