dissertation in tennis elbow and its manual therapy tech.
hi
i want to do dissertation on manual therapy vs conventional therapy in
tennis elbow.could u pls tell me the various manual therapy techniques or their websites and also their abstracts or evidence based physiotherapy if possible?
is it the right topic to do or some modifications need to be made?

there has been a lot of studies comparing physiotherapy against conventional management of
tennis elbow already. most of them compare cyriax(deep frictions) v leave alone v steroid injection. if you do a literature search like you would have to for a dissertation im sure that you will find a lot of articles. if i remember right there wasnt a great deal of difference between all groups. the steroid group got better quickly but had more incidence of recurrence and long term problems. the physio group got better quicker than the group with no treatment but about 6 months later thay were generally better anyway.
manual techniques would include deep transverse frictions, specific soft tissue mobilisation(glen hunter) and mulligans mobs. other treatments include ultrasound.
