Assessment of motor function for cerebral palsy? ..archives

Hi all, Few days ago I was on meeting for physical therapists, there was one guest (she's MD) presenting one case, child with cerebral palsy, treated with Voyta technique, but she was presenting results of treatment in digresses? (Example, moving of ankle was better for 15 degree then before treatment)
Now, I don't work with children, but I remember from my studies that for central problems (cerebral palsy or stroke) we use assessment scales, but she told me that all over the world that's measured in degrees. I wonder if that's truth?

I can only give you some basic information, but since the MD was likely a Voita practisioner and Voita is used In more or less all over the more Northern European countries. One might say: used all over the world. Websides of German origin will help you further on Voita, some of them have an English translation.

even i have come across only scales which we use here i really dont think degree is used but definitely dont know about vojta

I agree that for assessing the progress one should use the assessment scales.
