Do you put a lot of weight on your forefeet? Try a heel cup to see if it decreases or abolishes your symptoms. I believe in ruling in or out with simple things 1st. You stretch it sounds like. How long do you hold your calf stretches and how do you perform them? Stress may seem t randomly occur but it Is a message of a physical mechanical problem in form, function or structure. How quickly do you increase the volume of your training?

I think you could be on to something when you mention increasing the volume of training. On court time and gym time definitely increased in August and that is when my problems began.

There are generally 3 grades of calf strain. You should know about the grade for your condition. I prefer you to use the R.I.C.E. approach to reduce pain and inflammation. Also, consider seeking advice from an OS.
